the most wonderful blend of butterscotchy chocolately crunchy goodness

my mom and all the sisters are getting together Saturday to bake cookies and just hang out.
this is one of the recipe’s I am taking and it was a total accident but it ended up being my son in law’s favorite cookie hence its name.

Quite an unexpected surprise was this recipe.

Here is how it went down… – I have had our families Butterscotch Cookie Recipe that is one of our go to favorites along with our Pumpkin Brownie’s   SO…instead of making 3 different recipe’s I made one and dumped all the other ingredients ( butterscotch morselsGhirardelli white chocolate morsels and Trader Joe’s Honey Wheat Pretzel Sticks  in for good measure and out came

how i’m doing two weeks later..an update

dang ya’ll — your outpouring of love for our mantle is CRAYzee!
we are completely humbled–completely
we can’t wait to show ya the rest of it Monday but first i want to answer all the emails about how i am doing

 —————–the state of my colon

the prednisone is doing what it should by sucking up all inflammation.  bleeding has stopped..yeah!
i wake up drenched during the night though and have to change my clothes..that is kinda yuck
and i consumed a pbj sandwich, m & m ice cream sandwich, 6 eggs scrambled, a sugar-free jello with whip cream and
a lime frozen fruit bar for dinner…not so bad right?

I am at the two and a half week mark when the appetite literally becomes volatile.
it is a constant battle of heart and stomach and the stomach wins.  everytime.

I go to the surgeon on December 27 to ask a million questions as to whether it is a good choice to have my colon out

and I go to for a second opinion..a specialist for hard to treat people…that would be me…January 10.

I have been able to work in the shop all week and nikki and i are FINALLY rocking out orders!
better than last week!  each day gets better.  i am filled out now so i no longer look like a concentration camp girl .. NIKKI!!:)
#praisejesushalleluheahthankyoulordgetonthegroundandkissit

i still can’t go run or go up stairs fast…kinda a grandma thing but it is getting better.

now it is dealing with the weight gain and crazy emotions.

thank you all for your prayers and emails and cards and your WORDS…such sweet words!

within this weekend i want for each of YOU to see God moments –relish in them-take your time with them..they are little crumbs of the next step

if you have time .. how are you doing?  i sure would love to know…

O Come all Ye Faithful Mantle 2012 – take 1

being sick has really slowed life around here but we did manage to get the bones of our mantle up over this last week.
we still have to put the glitter letters on the stockings, tweeking the mantle and finishing preparing our home to embrace the coming season.  I am having the kids stay home this weekend and help me get it all wrapped up before our family get together’s.  I am practicing using a new set of “glasses” to see all of this as a gift..trying to not let all of the stress undo me causing me to be a scrooge…it will all get done just as it is meant to be and i want to enjoy it all to boot!  I really am excited to share it all with you.

Our inspiration this year were the words O Come from the song O Come All Ye Faithful..
there is something about the invitation that gets me..and faithful? me? not hardly
but stillcome

yes you…me…just as we are
no strings..no try harders..and yes with all the broken messiness just COME

a song about adoring a baby king

in flesh appearing

we will have a full post up over the weekend with all of our O Come all Ye Faithful decor…see ya then!

do you have an inspiration word or theme you used this year?

hiccups of my week and the original GRATITUDE chalkboard sign for sale…

i have fallen head over heels in love with this blog.  a house crash they called it.  the color of her home makes my heart beat a little faster.  i think i am slowly coming into my home skin so to speak.  i immediately ran to my home depot and got a sample of feather down and at this very moment i have about 7 color squares on my kitchen wall.

check her out…i’m smitten!  i know you will be too

My Old Country House….dump – that is what we call our house..a dump!

i am so inspired and proud of nikki.  she has stuck to a very low carb way of eating and has lost 30 lbs!  there is nothing like seeing your babies spread their wings and believe in themselves and go for it…and i am immensely enjoying her letting me come along for the ride. love you girl:)))

these crazy little juice glasses have gone crazy on IG..and my crazy sweet girl got the orange glasses…our Target only has the apple so far…crossing my fingers for the orange ones.  they are ONLY 1 dollar girls!!

doing little crafting projects trying to finish up the holiday nesting…

when your bed becomes the place you find yourself more often i wanted it to be more cozy so i succumbed to some aqua and cream striped flannel sheets from target and i LOVE them. period

…now i am going to layer other pieces for the winter months.  i haven’t gotten into my bedroom at all as far remodeling so i think i will stick with a grey/aqua/cream/white with lots of textures…something like this maybe?  then add all the planking and fun colors come spring..

i LOVE this girl – she makes me think i just could be a ROCK STAR so when I saw this…i knew i just had to have me one.

Hand Stamped Sterling Necklace - Rock Start

tinahdee jewelry

rock stars wear makeup right?  i have been pinning makeup and nail polishes on pinterest..just looking for something new to make me feel pretty.  anyone use bobbi brown? is it good..worth the money?

this new big kid grilled cheese with ooy goey cheeses and applewood bacon..then grilled,, paired with creamy tomato soup
with croutons is OUT OF THIS WORLD heavenly.  it’s like i am going to have to go there three or four times this week kinda like
you know right?  i can feeeel the pounds waiting around the corner..ugh!

i am slowly working my way back girls…signs have begun to ship! we will work our tails off for the next 16 days and get them out before Christmas.

we are also putting out a new line called “Dare to Dream”‘ that i think will inspire your hearts.  here is a sneak peek…more info coming soon:)

for anyone that is interested we are selling our GRATITUDE chalkboard made from an old window.  this is what inspired our GRATITUDE sign!!  you can purchase it here.  I will spray a coating over the chalk prior to shipping.  It will arrive as you see it minus the old cheese box.  It has two hooks and a clip.  This is a chalkboard and you can erase the gratitude and create your own word art:)…we can have this to you by Christmas.

I have a busy week ahead as i’m sure you do too–but above all of the holiday noise and chaos lets help each other to find the God moments within each day.  we live in the midst of an exciting treasure hunt.  It involves following thin threads and hidden clues left by Someone who adores partnering with us in the exploration….

love you….tiff
