how i’m doing two weeks later..an update

dang ya’ll — your outpouring of love for our mantle is CRAYzee!
we are completely humbled–completely
we can’t wait to show ya the rest of it Monday but first i want to answer all the emails about how i am doing

 —————–the state of my colon

the prednisone is doing what it should by sucking up all inflammation.  bleeding has stopped..yeah!
i wake up drenched during the night though and have to change my clothes..that is kinda yuck
and i consumed a pbj sandwich, m & m ice cream sandwich, 6 eggs scrambled, a sugar-free jello with whip cream and
a lime frozen fruit bar for dinner…not so bad right?

I am at the two and a half week mark when the appetite literally becomes volatile.
it is a constant battle of heart and stomach and the stomach wins.  everytime.

I go to the surgeon on December 27 to ask a million questions as to whether it is a good choice to have my colon out

and I go to for a second opinion..a specialist for hard to treat people…that would be me…January 10.

I have been able to work in the shop all week and nikki and i are FINALLY rocking out orders!
better than last week!  each day gets better.  i am filled out now so i no longer look like a concentration camp girl .. NIKKI!!:)
#praisejesushalleluheahthankyoulordgetonthegroundandkissit

i still can’t go run or go up stairs fast…kinda a grandma thing but it is getting better.

now it is dealing with the weight gain and crazy emotions.

thank you all for your prayers and emails and cards and your WORDS…such sweet words!

within this weekend i want for each of YOU to see God moments –relish in them-take your time with them..they are little crumbs of the next step

if you have time .. how are you doing?  i sure would love to know…

Ter'e Lindsay - Ah Tiff…….bless your little heart. So glad to hear you are doing better! LOL, I bristled at your “grandma” comment………as I have to climb the stairs like an old grandma……..but then I remembered, you are a grandma too. LOL. You climb ‘em however you can get to the top. I’m just thankful you are doing better.

Now…….how did your tiny tummy contain all that food? Can you have yogurt? When I had severe colon probs, I lived on TCBY. Yogurt was my friend.

Sarah - I have just found your blog and it is gorgeous! I gather you have IBD/UC/Crones…me too. Seven years of encouraging my GI tract to play nice and be friends, with mixed success :) Wishing you all the best over the www

Suzanne - “All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”

― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Girlie, I continue to pray
for you and this fork in the
road will not define you, but
simply enrich your story of
strength and courage.

Glad this has been a better
week, my friend!
